How to Edit or Remove a Service Add-On in Appointy

You can edit or remove an add-on that has already been assigned to a service in Appointy.

This is useful when you need to change an add-on’s details, update how it is offered with a service, or remove an add-on that is no longer available.

What is a service add-on?

A service add-on is an optional extra that can be offered along with a service.

Depending on your business, an add-on could represent an additional treatment, upgrade, equipment option, or another supplementary offering attached to the main service.

Settings → Service → Select Service → Add-on → Edit Add-on → Update → Save Changes

Steps

  1. Log in to your Appointy admin account.
  2. Click Settings in the toolbar on the left.
  3. Under Resource Management, open Service.
  4. Select the service whose add-on you want to edit.
  5. Open the Add-on tab.
  6. Hover over the add-on you want to change.
  7. Click the pencil/edit icon.

  8. Update the required information in the Update Add-on window.
  9. Click Update.
  10. Click Save Changes to save the changes to the service.

Steps

  1. Go to Settings → Service.
  2. Select the service whose add-on you want to remove.
  3. Open the Add-on tab.
  4. Hover over the add-on.
  5. Click the X / cross icon next to the add-on.
  6. Save the service changes if prompted.

Example: Updating an add-on offered with a service

Suppose a salon offers a Haircut service with an optional Hair Wash add-on.

If the business changes how the Hair Wash add-on is offered, the existing add-on can be edited instead of creating a new one.

If the salon stops offering Hair Wash with that service, the add-on can be removed from the service.

This keeps the booking options aligned with what the business currently offers.

When should I edit or remove an add-on?

You may want to edit an add-on when:

  • The add-on details have changed
  • The business changes how the add-on is offered
  • The add-on needs to be updated for a particular service

You may want to remove an add-on when:

  • It is no longer offered
  • It should no longer be available with that service
  • The add-on was assigned to the wrong service
