You can add an optional product or additional service to an existing service in Appointy.
The add-on appears along with the main service on the customer booking interface, allowing customers to select it while booking.
What is a service add-on?
A service add-on is an optional product or additional offering that customers can select along with the main service.
Depending on your business, an add-on could be:
- An additional treatment
- A retail product
- An equipment or facility upgrade
- A premium option
- Another supplementary offering related to the main service
For example, a salon offering a Haircut could offer:
- Hair Wash
- Deep Conditioning
- Hair-care Product
as optional add-ons.
Note: Add-ons do not add extra duration to the appointment.
Why use add-ons?
Add-ons allow businesses to offer relevant extras during the booking process.
They can be useful when:
- Customers often purchase another service along with the main booking
- You want to offer optional upgrades
- You want to sell a product alongside a service
- You want customers to customize their booking
- You want to increase the value of an appointment by offering relevant extras

Suppose a salon offers a Haircut as its main service.
Customers may also want:
- Hair Wash
- Deep Conditioning
- Beard Trim
The salon can add these as add-ons to the Haircut service.
When a customer selects the Haircut, the available add-ons can also be presented during the booking process.
This allows customers to select relevant extras without the business having to create a separate booking process for each combination.
Example: Selling a product with a service
Suppose a spa offers a Facial Treatment and also sells a skincare product that customers may want to purchase with the treatment.
The business can add the skincare product as an add-on to the Facial Treatment.
When customers book the service, they can also select the product as an optional add-on.
