You can assign a staff member the Manager role when they need broader access to manage day-to-day business operations.
A Manager can oversee more than their own schedule and can access business-level functions such as staff schedules, customers, reports, intake forms, discount coupons, and gift certificates.
What can a Manager do in Appointy?
A Manager has broader access than a regular staff member.
Depending on the account setup, a Manager can:
- View schedules for all staff members
- Manage appointments across staff members
- Manage existing intake forms
- Manage discount coupons
- Manage gift certificates
- Access customer information
- View reports
- Help manage day-to-day business operations
This role is useful when someone needs operational control beyond their own calendar.
When should I make a staff member a Manager?
Assign the Manager role when a team member needs to supervise or manage other staff members and business operations.
For example:
- A salon manager overseeing multiple stylists
- A clinic manager coordinating doctors or therapists
- A fitness center manager managing instructors and classes
- A branch manager responsible for daily scheduling
- An operations manager who needs access to customers, reports, and promotions
If the staff member only needs to manage their own appointments and calendar, Staff Login is usually more appropriate.

Suppose a salon has six stylists.
One senior team member is responsible for:

- Reviewing customer information
- Managing coupons and gift certificates
- Checking reports
Giving this person only Staff Login would limit them to their own schedule.
