How to Edit an Add-on in Appointy

You can update an existing add-on at any time to change its details, pricing, or the services it is assigned to.

This is useful when an add-on changes over time and you want to update the existing setup instead of creating a new one.

How to edit an add-on

Step 1: Open Add-on settings

  1. Log in to your Appointy admin account.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Under Customization, open Add-ons.

A list of all add-ons created in your account will appear.

Step 2: Select the add-on

Find the add-on you want to update.

Hover over the add-on and click the pencil/edit icon.

The Update Add-on panel will open.

Step 3: Update the add-on details

Make the required changes in the Update Add-on panel.

Depending on the available fields, you can update information such as:

  • Add-on name
  • Add-on details
  • Price
  • Service assignments

You can also select or deselect services if you want to change where the add-on is available.

Step 4: Save the changes

Click Update at the bottom of the panel.

Then click Save Changes.

The add-on will now use the updated configuration.

Example

Suppose you have an add-on called:

Premium Material — $10

and you want to increase the price to:

$15

You can edit the existing add-on, update the price, and save the changes instead of creating another add-on.

Similarly, if the add-on should no longer be available for one service but should remain available for others, you can simply deselect that service while editing the add-on.

When should you edit instead of create a new add-on?

Edit an existing add-on when:

  • The name needs to change
  • The price changes
  • The description needs updating
  • The add-on should be assigned to additional services
  • The add-on should be removed from selected services

Create a new add-on when the new option is fundamentally different and should remain separate from the existing one.
