You can edit an existing intake form field when you need to update the question, field details, or the services to which the field is assigned.
This is useful when the information you collect from customers changes over time and you want to update the existing field instead of creating a new one.
Quick navigation
Settings → Intake Form → Edit Field → Update Details → Update → Save Changes

Example
Suppose your intake form currently asks:
Do you have any allergies?
You want to make the question clearer:
Do you have any allergies or sensitivities we should know about?
Instead of creating a new field, edit the existing field and update the wording.
You can also review which services should continue using that field.
Editing a field vs creating a new field
Edit the existing field when:
- The wording needs improvement
- The available choices need updating
- The field should be assigned to more services
- The field should be removed from selected services
Create a new field when the new question is fundamentally different and should exist separately.
Important: Consider existing customer data
Be careful when changing or removing intake form fields that have already collected customer information.
If a field is removed or deleted, saved customer-level intake responses can be affected. Information already captured against an existing booked appointment remains available with that appointment.
