If you have multiple services to add, you can import them in bulk using a CSV file instead of creating each service manually.
This is useful when you are setting up a new account, migrating from another system, or adding a large service catalog.
What service information can be imported?
The sample service import file includes fields such as:
- Title
- Description
- Capacity
- Service Type
- Duration (minutes)
- Amount
- Location
Depending on the field, multiple values can also be entered in the same row.
For example, the sample CSV can contain:
- Multiple durations
- Multiple prices
- Multiple locations
Follow the formatting shown in the sample CSV when entering multiple values.

Using the provided template is recommended because it helps ensure that your fields and formatting match the expected import structure.
Add your services to the CSV
Add each service as a new row in the CSV file.
Enter the appropriate information for each service, such as:
- Service title
- Description
- Capacity
- Service type
- Duration
- Price
- Location
If a service has multiple durations, prices, or locations, follow the same formatting used in the sample file.
Once your service list is complete, save the file in CSV format.
Upload the CSV file
Return to the Upload CSV window in Appointy.
You can then:
- Drag and drop the file
- Select the file from your device
- Upload the completed CSV
Match the CSV columns
After uploading the file, Appointy will display the Match Columns section.
Match each column in your CSV file with the corresponding Appointy field.
If you used the sample CSV and did not change the column order, the fields should already be matched correctly.
If your columns are arranged differently:
- Click the dropdown above the relevant column.
- Select the correct Appointy field.
- Repeat this for the remaining columns.
Review the mappings before continuing with the import.
Using the Parse Headers option
The first row of the CSV is normally treated as the header row.
For example:
| Title | Description | Capacity | Service Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hair Spa | Description of service | 1 | In Location |
In this example, the first row contains the field names and will not be imported as a service.
If your CSV file does not contain a header row and the first row contains actual service information, uncheck Parse Headers.
Complete the import
Once your file is uploaded and the columns are correctly matched:
- Review the imported information.
- Click Next.
- Complete the import.
Your imported services will then appear under:
Settings → Appointment Settings → Services
Example: Importing a service catalog
Suppose a multi-location wellness business needs to add 40 services.
Instead of creating every service individually, the business can prepare a CSV containing details such as:
- Service title
- Description
- Capacity
- Service type
- Multiple durations
- Multiple prices
- Locations where the service is offered
The completed file can then be imported into Appointy in one process.
What should I configure after importing services?
Importing creates the service records, but depending on your setup, you may still need to configure additional settings such as:
- Staff assignment
- Service availability
- Resources
- Service images
- Public or Internal visibility
- Booking rules
- Prepayments
- Cancellation and refund policies
- Intake forms
- Buffer time
For multi-location businesses, you can also use service templates when you want to create a standardized service once and assign it across multiple locations.
